The Lighthouse is a centre of artistic excellence for live events, film and visual art, and provides a dynamic cultural facility in Poole, Dorset and the South West. Originally opened as Poole Arts Centre in 1978 to provide the local area with a centre for arts and culture, the venue which was refurbished and re launched in 2002, boasts versatile spaces for a wide range of events.
The Lighthouse support and enable the creation of work and artist development and provide a home for the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. The Lighthouse’s myriad of multi-functional spaces, including a 1500 specially designed concert hall, a 669 seat theatre as well as studio spaces and a cinema room, lend themselves well to a variety of events.
